The Beatles and football at Anfield and the world's largest and most prestigious horse race, the Grand National Steeplechase. There is enthusiasm and enthusiastic spectators at the various stands in the old city is working - it's not something museal of either sports or music in Liverpool. Liverpool is the UK's second largest export port. It has a good number of industries, but is affected by closures during the 20th century. Liverpool's probably best known landmark, is "The Pier Head" or the "Liverpool Waterfront," as it is also called. These are the three famous buildings, The Liver Building, The Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building.

It was from a terminal in this area, called "The Prince's Landing Stage," that America boats of the Cunard Line and the White Star Line, went from. The White Star Line, including the ship RMS "Titanic" was later taken over by the Cunard Line. The Cunard Line, changed when, in 1934, named The Cunard White Star Line, but later changed its name back to the Cunard Line.
